History of the Xantia Activa
The Xantia highlights Hydractive II technology, an electronically controlled hydropneumatic suspension system which reduces roll and improves road holding, without compromising on comfort.
A technology which will find its ultimate expression with the Activa version, launched in 1994, equipped with the new SC-CAR anti-roll system allowing completely flat cornering. It is this prestigious model which is on permanent exhibition at the Citroën Conservatory.
Did you know ?
Thanks to a suspension that manages to combine comfort and handling, Citroën models easily pass the avoidance test – known as the momentum test – at a speed of 70 km/h.
The Citroën Xantia benefits in particular from the hydractive II suspension with electronic management. A high-performance system combining the comfort of hydraulics with the speed of reaction of electronics.
The Xantia Activa V6 will even be a reference at the time, ahead of sports models, reaching a speed of 85 km/h in the momentum test!
