Rallye International de L’Aventure Peugeot 2021

Rallye International de L’Aventure Peugeot 2021, 3 unforgettable days!

The Rallye International de L’Aventure Peugeot, which took place in Sochaux from October 1st to 3rd, will remain etched in the memory of participants for a long time.

130 crews found themselves at the wheel of their PEUGEOT collection car in the country of Montbéliard, where the adventure began in 1810 for the Marque au Lion.

Coming from eleven different countries: Germany, Austria, Belgium, Spain, Finland, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Czech Republic and Switzerland, they were keen to finally meet to share and discuss their common passion, and also celebrate 211 years of the Marque and 125 years of motorsport.

This annual meeting is an opportunity for the collector members of L’Aventure Peugeot to drive their cars on beautiful roads. This year, Franche-Comté was the ideal setting for these reunions at the wheel of magnificent PEUGEOTs, luxurious or popular. The oldest car was a 1929 190 S Torpedo owned by a Belgian and the most recent a 2014 Peugeot RCZ R.

After a welcome at the Museum by the Association’s employees and volunteers, the first day got off to a great start with a surprise and sporting event at the Courcelles-lès-Montbéliard aerodrome. With the complicity of Peugeot Sport and David Henry Compétition, the workshop teams have put back on the road and above all “on the track” some competition cars emblematic of the Brand’s sporting history. This is how the PEUGEOT 172 R Torpedo Grand Sport, 301 Miramas, 302 Darl’mat, 205 T16 EVO2, CD Le Mans, 304 Rallye GR2, 504 coupé V6, 404 Diesel des Records, 306 Maxi, Coupé 406 Silhouette and 3008 DKR Maxi thrilled the participants of the Rally, privileged spectators of this unprecedented demonstration. An exceptional spectacle for the eyes and ears.

The day ended at the Museum, where the teams had prepared special lighting and set up buffets in the aisles between the collection spaces. A friendly atmosphere perfect for exchanging and already reminiscing about the images of the afternoon.

Saturday morning, the crews took the direction of Villers-le-Lac via roads and magnificent landscapes. After a lunch on the Doubs aboard boats, they discovered the Saut du Doubs. Despite an exceptionally low water level, the participants greatly appreciated this marvel of Franche-Comté nature.

Saturday ended at the Museum for a gala evening full of new surprises! During the gastronomic dinner concocted by Chef Ludovic Maire, the guests discovered video testimonials from former personalities from the history of Peugeot in competition (David Brabham, Martin Brundle, André de Cortanze, Yannick Dalmas, Dan Davis, Bruno Saby, Jean Todt and Ari Vatanen) and for dessert, better than the icing on the cake, it was the HYPERCAR PEUGEOT 9X8 which was unveiled before their amazed eyes.

An exceptional presence made possible thanks to the PEUGEOT brand and the PEUGEOT SPORT teams, which visitors to the Museum were able to enjoy on Sunday. Although announced late (in order to maintain the element of surprise for participants in the Rally), the presence of the HYPERCAR PEUGEOT 9X8 in Sochaux attracted nearly 500 visitors (i.e. 4 times more than on a classic Sunday).

Saturday evening ended with a fireworks display worthy of July 14!

For the last day of the Rally on Sunday, the crews went along the Doubs to reach and visit the Royal Saltworks of Arc et Senans, classified as World Heritage by UNESCO since 1982. Claude-Nicolas Ledoux’s masterpiece (1736 -1806), visionary architect of the Age of Enlightenment, it is also a rare testimony in the history of industrial architecture.

The success of this event was made possible thanks to the teams of L’Aventure Peugeot, employees and volunteers, with the complicity of its partners: Pays de Montbéliard Tourisme, the Aerodrome of Montbéliard-Courcelles, the navigation companies of Saut du Doubs , the Royal Saltworks of Arc et Senans and the National Gendarmerie.
We particularly thank PEUGEOT FRANCE and PEUGEOT SPORT for their great contribution to the realization and success of the Rallye International de L’Aventure Peugeot 2021.

The dates of the next International Aventure Peugeot Meeting are known. It will take place from June 17 to 19, 2022 in Germany, in Bad Mergentheim.
