505
Called to ensure the replacement of the 504, the 505 takes place at the beginning of its career between this last one and the 604, always with in background the idea of the renewal of the range. From a styling point of view, Pininfarina succeeded in refining its line compared to the 504, while keeping the trapezoidal headlights.
Technically, the 505 remains faithful to the tradition: rear wheel drive or rear wheel drive and longitudinal engine at the front.
It also follows the evolution of engines, which during the 80s, is marked by a very strong increase in power.
Restyled in 1986, the 505 is produced in 1.35 million units, in Sochaux until 1992, but also in Spain, China and Argentina and is sold worldwide.
It was the last Peugeot with rear wheel drive.
