In 1995, with the 406, the Peugeot brand affirmed its desire to develop an original and dynamic image based on two aspects of motoring pleasure: robustness and reliability of the product as well as driving pleasure. From its commercial launch, the 406 range offered a choice of seven models, through a combination of engines and trim levels.
In the spring of 1997, Peugeot revived a tradition that is strongly linked to its history by producing the 406 coupé, which was an immediate success.
