Association des 2cv Clubs de France – A 2 C F – created in 1986
The first 2CV clubs in the world were created in France in 1952: the 2CV club of Orléans, and the one of Ain. In the middle of the 80’s, French Deuchistes try to meet between clubs. In order to present its candidature to the organization of a World Meeting, an association was created at the end of 1986, called Association of the 2CV Clubs of France (A2CF).
After the great success of the World Meeting of 1989 in Orleans, it was decided to perpetuate the Association which had for mission to federate the initiatives of the increasing number of French 2CV clubs and to have thus a single interlocutor. At the initiative of some of them, a National Meeting of the 2CV Clubs of France was organized in 1993 in Le Creusot. This tradition has continued since then with a growing success, always keeping the original ideas: an organization entrusted to a local or regional club, a meeting over 4 days during the Ascension weekend, highlights such as the tasting of regional products brought by the clubs or the closing evening. As a member of the Amicale Citroën et DS, the A2CF now has 115 regional clubs in France and is the link between the brand and collectors of 2CVs and derivatives.
