The Citroën GS Basalt
On April 5, 1978, Citroën presented the first GS limited series: the Basalt.
It is produced in 1800 copies on the basis of the GS Club equipped with a 1220 cm3 engine.
Only black in color with red adhesive strips on each side of the car, this car is very well equipped with: a laminated windscreen, tinted windows, a sunroof, fog lamps, wheel covers from of the GS Pallas, a cassette car radio, a specific red and black interior fabric without forgetting headlight wipers that are rarely found on a vehicle marketed in France.
All copies were sold out in less than a month.
The GS Basalt is a true limited edition which is highly sought after by collectors today.
