Marie Dubas loved her Panhard
Marie Dubas, big star of the 1930s, loved her Panhard so much
Marie Dubas (1894-1972) was a music hall star and actress, who inspired Edith Piaf. Her most famous song is “Mon legionnaire” (later taken over by Edith Piaf), which she recorded in 1936.
Its popularity and fame are such that it is featured in the most prestigious casinos. She is recognized in all circles as an exceptional artist, which allows her to tour the United States in 1939.
For her tours in Europe and the Mediterranean countries, she used a Panhard “Panoramic” 6CS. She loved this car so much that to thank Paul Panhard (then director of the company of the same name), she sent him this autographed photo with the text:
« To Monsieur Panhard, his faithful client and friend, Marie Dubas, Tunis, 18/11/1934 ».
